i have a opp. to trade a cold air for a set of stock e7 heads. i don't need the cold air anymore as my new supercharger came with it's own.

i was thinking i could get the stock heads then have them ported and then do just a simple swap one for the other.

it would cost about 650 to 700 to do the port and polish. but would it be worth it or should i just save a little more and get the e-streets or something like that?

I wouldn't spend 600-700 bucks on porting a set of GT40s... save and get the aluminums.

I've literally given a set of e7's away just to clear space in my garage. No way i'd spend any money on those heads

I would get the E7s, trade them for a set of ported E6s...and then trade them for a deck of cards. You'll come out ahead that way

10-years ago when Aluminum heads were big bucks, it was worth while doing a set of iron heads, but the price of aftermarket castings have come down so much the last few years, it's hardly worth it anymore.

In my opinion....a cold air intake, even used, is worth 2 sets of heads.

I have a few pairs of stock E7s. For $25 a pair I still couldn't ditch em.

I have a set of GT-40P heads i wouldn't even spend that sort of cash on.
