Thumbs up for 32psi

35 pumps up the tires so you will get better mpg, but running slightly lower psi will give you better traction.

Just because your tires say 35psi on the side DOES NOT mean that's the proper inflation pressure.

anywhere between 32-38psi. I run whatever combo dials in the best neutrality/ride/mgp combo.

Where do the tires say 35psi on the side, they say max 60 but not a reccomended pressure?

All mine say is max inflation as well... I can't for the life of me find the Ford recommended PSI.

Not sure if its the same on your car, but my 2000 has all the tire inflation info and tire sizes on a plate on the glove box door. Ford says to run 32psi I believe on a 245/45/17. Thats what I run, and it seems to work fine.

In this day and age, i'll take the extra 3lbs for the better gas mileage, and if I have a little rear slippage taking that hairpin right at 95mph, while on my way to work, then i'll try not to overcorrect

Way to go Ford! Way to put this peice of vital info in such a well thought out place!

Anyway that's with 245's. If you go with a wider tire putting more of a footprint on the ground you can actually decrease pressure since weight remains constant while surface area increases
