What rear size tires are you running? I'de like to get a taller tire due to having
4:10's and a T-5, 1st gear is to freaking short.

28'' tall. ill have to look at em to see what they are exactly.

i had to massage the inner fender wells a little to get em to stop rubbing.

yep i have seen that on a couple of my trannys..lol Im up to eight t5's in my car.The t5's would be better if they would have put a different type of bearing in them. The tapered bearings have to much play in them, this is why they need to be shimed up.

Something was wrong with your camera when you took that pic....judging by the old school wheel/tire setup, i adjusted the date for ya

It's not so much the bearings, but the mainshaft which deflects. Fortunately (or unfortunately because it didn't help) his z-spec had the upgraded pocket bearing design which helped with flex therefor increased the torque rating to 330 ft-lbs.

G-force sells 2 upgraded mainshafts ($300 and 500ish) that are stronger and will not flex as much.

You could build up one hell of a t-5 with an upgraded case, upgraded internals, $500 mainshaft, etc etc....and spend enough where you could have bought a t-56 conversion instead

nice job. time for those beefy astro gears or a t56 swap. or just another basic t5 due to the cost of those items
