yep i have seen that on a couple of my trannys..lol Im up to eight t5's in my car.The t5's would be better if they would have put a different type of bearing in them. The tapered bearings have to much play in them, this is why they need to be shimed up.

It's not so much the bearings, but the mainshaft which deflects. Fortunately (or unfortunately because it didn't help) his z-spec had the upgraded pocket bearing design which helped with flex therefor increased the torque rating to 330 ft-lbs.

G-force sells 2 upgraded mainshafts ($300 and 500ish) that are stronger and will not flex as much.

You could build up one hell of a t-5 with an upgraded case, upgraded internals, $500 mainshaft, etc etc....and spend enough where you could have bought a t-56 conversion instead :shrug:
