pulley question

i have an 88 LX 5.0 and im going to put on a set of march under drive pulleys i got for free and do i need a pulley puller to take the stock crank pulley off?

No, there are four bolts holding the crank pully on. The real problem pully is the alternator...man that thing was a ****** to get off/on

any suggestions on how to get the alt pulley off without an impact?

I put underdrive pulleys on the bronco I used to have. I tried everything to get the alt pulley off. I gave up and moved the fan shroud so I could get the impact driver in there, came right off.

The fastest way to get the alt pulley off is just to pull the alt out and use an impact gun. It takes only minutes to pull the alt out. It'll save you time in the end. Take the whole thing down to an auto store, and they'll switch the pulleys for ya.
