Hey guys, long time no see. Im picking up a new project soon, so you guys will probably be seeing me around more often.
Im going pick up a wrecked '94 GT and plan on pulling the motor and transmission to put in another project. I was going to find an explorer, but I need a Mustang computer and wiring harness, and the price on this is too good to pass up.
Ive never pulled an engine from an SN95, so where will I need to mount the hoist at? Do I need to remove the upper intake as well?
Its an automatic (unfortunately, because I need a T5, but i can sell the AODE). I plan on removing the engine and transmission as one piece. Im honestly not going to be too worried about saving mounts and stuff like that on the car. Ill probably use a sawzall on the engine mounts if the bolts give a hint of being stuck. But i do need to keep the wiring together.
So if im removing the engine, I just need to drain coolant, unhook wiring, remove driveshaft, speedo cable, clutch cable, motor mounts, cooling hoses, evacuate A/C and disconnect lines, and disconnect PS lines. Then it should all just magically lift out right? Haha
