Pulling motor and trans at same time, question about hooking bolts to aluminum heads

The title pretty much says it all. I'm getting ready to pull my motor (long story, lost oil pressure and now it knocks) I have aluminum heads, and I'm a little worried about hooking the bolts into the heads to yank it out. I have pulled a motor and tranny before, but on a car w/ cast heads. Also my tranny weighs 50 to 75lbs more than a t5. Should I worry about pulling out the threads or anything? BTW I'm talking about using intake bolts to pull it.

No on the intake bolts...use the accesories bolts on the sides of the heads.

I pulled a motor trans before by attaching the chain to the lower intake bolts. It held fine for me.

The accessory bolts on the front of the heads? I hope I have a bolt that will fit that thread, I'm hoping to yank this thing out before it gets dark. Even though I have some huge spotlights I can use.

I pulled mine like 3 or 4 times on the heads. I have trick flow and attached the bolts to the rear of the block meaning in the back. The place where the smog tube used to cross over and on the from where the power steering pump bolts go. I use them beause of the size bolt. Have no worries. You can order from summit or where ever a plare that attatches to you upper intake ment for pulling motors.

What are you putting in?

I'm going to rebuild it. New crank, I'm hoping to afford and Ed Curtis FTI cam, hone the cylinders, new rings and bearings. I'm planning on a supercharger when I get my tax return back. I pulled off the main caps and the bearings had a bit of copper showing, also the rod bearigns had small ammounts of copper showing. I'm not sure what caused the knocking, but the oil pump shaft looked more like a broken drill bit, because it was twisted so bad. I'm assuming to do the cam bearings I will have to take it a machine shop, because I have no clue how to do them.
