I already routed the hose from the manifold to the water pump. All good there. I started to pull the guts out from the inside. Any tips or tricks? Is that the fan motor that sticks into the engine bay thru the fire wall? Anybody supply a plate to fill that hole once I pull all that out?

I was just looking around under there for an apparent bolt pattern that holds the hole thing in. I don't see one. Maybe I have to look harder. I not knocked in the dome pretty good when the glove box door came down. DANG! So I remove that sucker right away for a better look. I was just wondering if I pull the nuts on that blower motor... what else hase to be unbolted to get the whole assembly out.

I'm just curious, if you have already run a bypass, and don't seem to intend on replacing it, why pull the unit? When I junked mine, I just took off all the surounding clips, pulled the core, and still ran the hoses through the firewall so it appeared stock looking still.
Why would you keep hoses or anything of the like in the car that is not used? Hoses for what? I don't get it.
Anyhow...
I did it because I never have and never intend to use the heater. I will take all the stuff out, put it in a box... and probably forget about it. Meanwhile it takes a little more clutter out of the engine bay, under the dash, and saves around 15 pounds?
Even it were two pounds... I'd still yank it.

Because I don't care for the way a 4 inch piece of hose looks going from the manifold to the pump, and you need something to complete the connection, you just can't stick a cork where the hose went when you remove the heater. They are used, the water still travels through them, it just travels thru an original length of 3 feet to and 3 feet back (actually one 6' foot length now that goes in and right back out the firewall) instead of 4" and looks stock and it cools off a lttle more thru the travel. Plus this way you don't have to plug the holes in the firewall. I never intended to use the heater either, which is why I just yanked the core from the casing when it started to leak on me. I didn't appreciate any lack of clutter in the engine bay from it, so maybe I just don't understand how your 67' is set up. 
Well I guess it's not all that much... but I'll be getting rid of the six feet of hose that won't be used. Plugging the holes won't be a big deal. I just want to make the whole car as base as possible. If it's not making me go fast or making the car look cool.... I'm tossin it.

I actually used black rubber corks to fill the old heater holes in the firewall when I converted to the bulkhead fitting for the Vintage A/C. Found just the right size so they fit flush.
Thanks guys.. that's kind of the direction I was going. Especially the plug in the manifold. I've never seen anything for plugging the waterpump outlet though. I got the entire unit out from under the dash tonight and measured the hole pattern. I'll see if I can get some thin gauge aluminum and make the piece to fill the large opening.
