can i pull my motor with MAC LT's and the tranny still on? i know how hard it is to take the tranny off with LT's on. and i know how much of a pain it is to take the LT's off. and since i am it is likely i need to replace my valves, i would just like to pull everything at once...

Is it possible????

well im going to try to pull the motor and the tranny all at once. i know the motor went right down with the LT's on and then the tranny a tough to get on afterwards. but i would assume its possible to pull the motor and tranny all in one. and i dont think the longtubes will interfere at all.

it will be a while till i get around to it. but ill repost a thread on how it goes and if its possible!

I'm the guy with the other thread about this. I have Hooker LT headers. Just looking at it from the top, I don't see how it's going to come out with them attached, but Lord knows I'm going to try. I just looks like the headers about about an inch too wide to make it, especially on the driver's side where the brake lines look like trouble. I've pulled the K-member before, but it's a complication I'd rather avoid.

drop it like a camaro! (dont throw rocks!).. straight out the bottom.. its the best way.. then pick it apart on the ground.. if you wanna go though the top you gotta about another hour of work ahead of you.. ive done both and i perfer this way.. i used my cherry picker to pull the body up and over the engine and back on to a body rack that i made ( this seems to be a winter project of me 2 years in a row).. but you can put the front end on some jack stands..

Yeah its possible, I've done it a few times. You have to make sure that your AC lines are out of the way or they will get caught on the primaries.
