Hi All,
My 99 GT (automatic) is pulling hard left from a stop. I end up at the middle of the next lane before it pulls back straight. Now, this only happens when I stomp down on the pedal. If I accelerate fast but not all the way it runs in a straight line. I had the rear brake pads replaced this weekend although it did pull to the left before, just not so much.

Sounds like they didn't get the rear calipers screwed all the way in. Might have one draging under heavy acceleration.

Re:

It pulls slightly left when hard braking. I tried in different places now and it seems to be just in that one traffic light where it's really notorious. I'm not sure if the road not level there or what. Although I do feel the road more on this mustang than on pretty much any other car I've driven. Is this common in mustangs?

Dude the road is rutted probably. From heavy traffic and hot temps the road has been worn down and has rutts in it.

Another suggestion, if you are really concerned about it...

After doing some driving, in stop and go traffic, take it to a tire shop. Some places have infrared temperature sesors. So they can spot check your brake temps. They should be within a certain range. I had a problem with my truck pulling to the left when braking/accelerating, so I did this and went to the shop. The front left rotor was more than 2x hotter than the others. (pad had come loose)
