i bought twisted wedge heads and it came with push rods that the guy used for his motor...he had a "f" cam. i am wondering if i can use the same rods and heads with a trickflow stage 1 cam.
The only way to know if they will work is to try. Every engine combination is going to be a little bit different. The best way to do it would be to use a pushrod length checker and then go from there.
Take out all the spark plugs.
Install a pushrod for intake and exhaust on one cylinder.
Setup your valvetrain with checking springs on the intake and exhaust on said cylinder.
Use a dry erase marker on clean valve stems.
Hand crank the engine over a few times.
remover the rocker and check your witness marks. They should be centered and .060" or smaller in width.
If they aren't centered or too fat, you will have to buy some adjustable pushrods and measure out for the lengths you need.
