You will need new pushrods, I beleive they are 6.75" or 6.7" inches long however its always best to measure and buy accordingly. When I did the heads on my LX the pushrods in the topend kit were dead nuts on top of the valve so I did not measure them.

I believe 6.75 is the stock lenght push rod.

Jimmy

I'll not address the length of the pr's

You most likely already know this but, a bit of basic info never hurts

The important thing to remember about TFS heads is ...........

They mandate the use of stud mount rockers

Stud mount rockers mandate the use of pr guide plates

P R guide plates mandate the use of hardened pr's

See how all that kinda goes together hand in hand

To run TFS heads, you can't move over typical oem iron head rockers or pr's from an existing combo.

Not to mention that the stock pushrods are only 6.272" long. A good rule of thumb with a set of TF Rockers on TF Heads, I would say a 6.7" pushrod. Its exactly what they install with their kits. However that is with the 1.6ratios.

Rule of thumb for ANY engine build, Get a pushrod length checker with a 8" dial caliper. Measure it and order the closest number

To answer your question of are they good heads the answer is yes. As far as gaing 79 hp it probley wont happen with just the heads alone. IMO get yourself some AFR.

99% of the time they will take the 6.700 pushrod, which I just happen to have a set of sitting right here that i'll let go cheap. they are trick flow 6.700 hardned pushrods that are in perfect shape. If your interested pm me or email me at:
