Put on my Drag-Lites but i have a problem....

Did anybody put these on and have either the right rear or the left rear rub against the fender when you hit a bump? Mine does that on one side and it's driving me crazy, and i don't want to take them off cause they look so so nice....did anybody have a problem like this? and if so how'd they solve it? Stiffer/new springs? New shocks? HELP!!!

I had that same problem, it can be solved by "rolling the fender lip" Try using the search feature to find out more. I basically rolls the lips of the fender upwards in the well to eliminate any rubbing. Good luck. If you dont fix it, the lip will being to take slices out of your tires

yea man....it's been slicing my rear tire up....everytime i hit a bump it sucks so bad.

Moroso drag springs will lift you up higher. They will always rub. Did you get the 4 1/2" back spacing? To clear really big tires you need 5 1/2" or 6" backspacing. The problem with that is the same thing will happen on the inside. You can never win without a hammer! Be gentle and pick your weapon wisely.

no i actually didn'y install any kind of spacers on it....just bolted them on from the factory rotor/drums....but i guess i have to do some more research on the fender rolling.....i guess i need a heat,gun, a child size aluminum bat/or hammer and a lot of patience...

Actually there is an easier way.
Clip the fenders with a metal cutter about every inch,then just use a small hammer to hammer the clips up.It actually works better than the bat,and is alot safer.

Or if you're anything like me and the thought of shade tree body work fills you with a sense of loathing, then take it to a body shop and let the pros do it. I know it's probably not the solution you were looking for but beating and banging on my paint job is just darned scary.

I just cut two nicks, one on each side of the fenderwell then rolled it back..then I removed the quad shocks & installed air bags. Haven't had any problems with them since. I'm running 295/50/15's on 15x8's with 4.5 backspacing..I do plan on switching to 15x10's with 5.5 backspacing coz I'll be running taller drag radials.

coil overs do wonders......................................... you can raise the back end a good couple of inches and with some fender work wont have a problem.

oh really? is this easy to do? coil overs are stiffer springs? and should i put the rear AND the fronts? The fronts arent rubbing....

coil overs arnt needed, but they are nice to have. Once your rear end is set up, you wont need to go f-ing with it anymore, so then what good are the coil overs unless you are constantly changing tire sizes. I have coil overs in the front, they are definetly worth it up front.

that's saying a lot especially considering you're up in New Jersey's neck of the woods....i'm in Boston,MA so i understand the road conditions and pot holes you've must have encountered. i wish there was an easier way to do this....honestly i'm still considering the heat gun, patience and the hammer/aluminum child size bat technique...i'm going to pull my dag gon fur out if i screw up the paint though....

Eastwood has a lip roller, don't remember how much it is. Probably expensive just to do your own car.

I had the same problem. I just installed Airlift airbags inside the rear coil springs. I put in about 15-20 p.s.i in them and they don't rub at all. Plus they help at the track too.And they don't really take away from the ride quality either. I also run 295-50/15 B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's on 15x8 weld draglites with 4 1/2" backspacing. When I go to the track I use 26x11.50x15's Mickey Thompson E/T Streets on the same size rim. I did not roll my fender lips.
