These are huge...with 275's on it, I bought 1 3/4 inch spacers...don't know what i was thinking, and wasn't even going to put them on because i figured it would be too far out. But when i tried it tonight, it doesn't look bad at all.

Also, I was worried that at "takeoff", my car would squat. Fortunately, although it does squat a little, i lose traction well before the tires can rub on the inner wheel wells

those are massive spacers....i think i might try the 1" ones or so. still looks good none the less.

I'm thinking...wait....no, sorry, they're 1 1/4....my mistake

Anyway, side shot so you can see how both front and rear tires are flush with the wheel wells now

do you have caster camber plates on it? the wheels still seem to bow in just a bit. the front looks way better with spacers i might add.

The front has no spacers, that's just 275's on there

No caster camber plates, but for some reason, (don't know why) I'm not getting any uneven wear on my front tires. It's ever since i put on the 275's that it's stopped. I had 255's on the front before, and they wore out completely on the insides within 2 years....didn't like that. But no, these have no caster camber plates, but no issues without'em

That looks pretty good! Be careful turning into uneven parking lots/driveways tho, because the tires will probably rub. I know mine do

i would have never guessed, when i had 03's on my 96 they didnt stick out that far. looks good none the less.

oh yeah and i dont know what the hell ford was thinking having the factory rims tucked so far in...

I had the car out driving all day today, and no problems, I hope it keeps up.

urban96 - good point, will be done!

pleasehelp - without a doubt...sometimes i wonder what Ford thinks on a lot of issues, but in the end, none of the aftermarket companies are complaining, so maybe Ford's just helping other's out.

Do you know how many threads/turns you had through the stock lugs (to seat the spacers)? By my calc's, 1.25" will allow about 8 turns (my lug nuts have 12 threads). Sufficient? I am thinking about using a dab of red threadlock on each stud (attaching the spacer to the rotor - since that should not need to come off very often). I dont see a problem with that, but I have not done spacers before either.

Thanks for posting your experience. I know Rob and I are about to do this ourselves.

Is it just me, or does the passenger side not stick out as far as the driver's side?

I noticed this also when I put my 11" wide rims w/315's on. The passenger side of mine is perfectly flush with the fender, while the driver's side sticks out about 1/2" TO 3/4". Maybe the rearend is not quite centered on our cars

Also... if you want to avoid cut up tires when going up steep driveways, do youself a favor and roll the inner lip of the rear fenders. I used a ballpeen hammer. Saounds scary to use a hammer on your bodywork, but you can't see the rough metalwork from the outside of the car, unless you take the wheel off and stick your head in the wheel well.
