I need to know every part i will need. I know i will need a Bellhousing (And I am switching to a T-5 World Class anyway), Motor Mounts (Which i will do easily with a new K-Member), buy headers for a 94-95 GT, and other stuff like that.

I know you guys will say not to do it but I am going to so i dont wanta hear anything about that i just want help on everything i will need.

All i need is what i will need to get to bolt'd into my car i will do the wiring myself.

And I DO have a return sytle fuel system most 98's did'nt but mine does

just curious, did you blow up your 4.6? if not, what are you going to do with it?

i can't provide any info, but ttt for ya. it sounds like a major undertaking.

if it was a vert, i'd condsider a trade ...

curious as to your interest with the 5.0? sounds like you have a nice 4.6 there. What are you doing with it?

I'd never harp on someone for coming over to our side, I just like to understand the madness of the 'other'

The swap can be done. and in your case I would even swap out the fuel tank since the 98 is the odd ball for fuel pumps. Starting next week i'm going to start selling 5.0 Swap kits Complete which Include engine. let me know. Danny

if I were you instead of running a manual pump which i hate. run a pickup tube in the tank then run an electric pump meant for a carbed engine then just use a regualtor to control the psi. I did this on a 66 Chevy 2 works like a dream.

If converting to 5.0 carbed, it's easy compared to FI. You said you were already swapping K member, so that's taken care of. Other than that, you'll need:

Radiator, (fan stays same, and you can run it switched style, contacts are labeled)

ACC Brackets from 94/95 5.0 (don't use the 93 and down brackets, the fitiment is too tight for those)

EDIT: Timing Cover/ Water Pump from 94/95: They're different between the years, so you'll need this particular setup in order to run the 94/95 ACC brackets. This timing cover also does not allow you to mount up a mechanical fuel pump, forcing you to go with an electrical pump.

EDIT #2: Accessories You'll need all the Accessories from a 5.0 car as well. I'm unsure of the differences between the Alternator, so atleast put it in possible buys. You will need power steering pump from a 87-95 car, and it's up to you whether or not you want A/C and the Smog pump. If so, you'll need those from a 94/95 car.

Fuel tank from a carbureted Mustang(83-85 should work, unsure of earlier year designs) (OR you can sump your current 98 tank.. This would be my choice.)

Fuel pump (I would highly recommend going with an electrical pump, especially since it looks like you're putting in a 347. I can give recommendations if you'd like. Give me a price range though)

Fuel Regulator (if going with an electric pump)

Gauges: Either get used to not having a working cluster, and using Autometers around the cabin, or check out the Florida 5.0 clusters.

Transmission: (I know you mentioned this already)

EDIT #3 Starter: You MAY need a 94/95 starter. The wiring should be the same between your 98 and the 94/95, but I there's a good possibility the starter itself is different. I'd check up on this.

Driveshaft: (for a T-5 transmission)

Exhaust: You'll need headers, like you mentioned, as well as an H or X pipe. You cannot use the 4.6 H/X pipe. Cat-back remains the same.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head... Good luck!

Glad I could help out some. Let me know if I can help with anything else.

EDIT:

I forgot to mention one more important thing... In order to use the 94/95 bracketry on the engine, you will need a 94/95 timing cover on the engine... However, the 94/95 timing covers DO NOT allow for a mechanical fuel pump, forcing you to use an electrical pump. You could use the earlier brackets/timing-cover/water pump, but it's actually more expensive, because you have to invest in like 3 skinny cooling fans in order to fit it in.... So that's something to chew on, and decide about.

I think i will be able to if i get a slimline air cleaner

You'll most likely need a cowl... I forgot. Unless the K member lowers the engine by 1/2 an inch or more... Do a test fit either way. Are you running a carb spacer? If not, you have much better chances of getting it under the stock hood.

Do you mean one of those foam tirangle style Edelbrock air cleaners that're only a couple inches tall? Those are pretty dangerous.. Not only are they flammible, the foam will get sucked into your engine as it deteriorates.. I've heard every sort of bad, and no good things about them.
