Putting a T5 in a 79 4spd Fox??????

I have a 79 with a 302 and a 4spd manual tranny and I blew out 2nd and 3rd in it. I'm looking to put a T5 in it but I have some questions. Are the imput shafts the same? Can I still run a cable clutch? Are the bellhousings the same? Will the 4spd slip yoke work? Do I need a different crossmember? I know I need to get one out of a 5.0 not a 2.3.

its a simple swap, done it a few times. only thing you really need 5 speed wise is the tranny and bellhousing and clutch fork cover. clutch forks interchange as well as the pilot bearing. clutch doesnt need changed unless you want a better one or upgrade to a 10.5" clutch. driveshaft doesnt need changed. shifters wont interchange so you'll need one for the 5 speed if it doesnt come with one. 79 crossmember will work. trans mount will interchange. basically it will work with no problems
