I would say the X would go better as the SLPs are basicaly a straight through muffler. The H sounds better with chambered mufflers such as Flowmaster and MAC.

I dunno, man. I've got an X on the '05 with straight-through magna-flows, and I think it sounds a bit ricey and trumpets terribly. I think H pipes and pro-chambers are always the answer with Mustangs. I say go with an X pipe if you want to get every last bit of HP, but otherwise h pipe or prochamber is the way to go for me.

I have the Pypes H with LMs. You will NEED 18" resonators with this setup.

Because it will sound like **** otherwise. It will be ridiculously loud at idle and trumpet and backfire wildly under even the mildest application of throttle.

he will want resonators with the x too. Been there done that. Before the resonators, everyone told me my car sounded like rice, now it sound more like a 5.0 with an x-pipe.

Well with exhaust it is "to each his own" Some will love it, some will hate it, no matter what the set up is.
