For a DD, and for a car that can't offend the neighbors at 5 AM, (or the wife for that matter), is the Pypes mid-muff a good system that is just a little louder than stock at idle and low RPM's, and VERY little drone at highway speeds?

If not, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Playing with my wife's really makes me want one.

Next to loudmouths, the mid muffler system and Violators are about as loud as you can get without an off-road pipe. That said, they're not all that loud. Your neighbors won't be awoken unless they're very light sleepers. Everyone with the mid muffler system has said there is no drone.

Go to the pypes website, they have sound clips and the one thing everyone forgets about, stock sound clips so you have play them back to back and compair. There is also a very lengthy thread on the mid muffler system, so a quick search will yield lots of information.

You may also want to consider the FRPP GTA axle-backs. They are a bit louder & deeper than stock, but not overbearing. I ran them for just under a year. Recently installed the Pypes mid system & they are another notch up over the GTA's.
