Unfortunately, I don't know exactly which ones I got. I took my car down to a local performance exhaust shop that new exactly what I was talking about when I told them what I wanted to do and they just installed them. I never saw the box or anything, but I'm more than positive it's these...

By the way, when you hear resonators, it's really just a straight through designed race muffler, as far as I know.

+1, you're exactly right..... those look just like mine except mine are alittle longer. Mine are Dynamax brand, just FYI.

Thanks for the info. Do you suppose most muffler shops would just stock resonators? Or would that be limited to more of a performance shop item?

I'm not sure if the standard exhaust shops like Mieneke or Midas has them. I'll be happy to give ole George Forman a call and ask him, me and him go way back.

Kidding, it'd be worth a call, but if you have any shops that aren't necessarily
commercial driven, like a big chain, you might be better off. I think the smaller mom and pop type shops might be your better bet since they typically will cater to more of the race car/racer people, instead of carrying just Flowmasters and that's it.

call ALL PRO MUFFLER on 60th, just north of L street. thats the best exhaust shop in omaha. they have good knowledge with custom exhaust.

After the install and driving I must say what a huge difference the ORH pipe made but I'm curious about one thing. I'm running the stock gear 3:55s and have not yet started modding the engine it's still factory everything. I'm thinking a gear swap would put the exhaust tone into a different range but wanted to ask those who are running this setup with the factory gears are you hearing the same thing I am at 2500rpms.

Your car looks (and sounds) awesome!

I'm only running a V6 but I have the Pypes setup with the "X" pipe.

Between 2000-2500 RPM (I'm running 3.31 gears) the vibration and noise from these pipes is unreal under light to moderate acceleration.

It sounds like a V8. The windows rattle and you can hear my pony from a half mile away.

Not that I mind... until something falls off the car...

The V6 guys call this "drone" when this happens at a constant speed (70 is around 2200RPM, 80 is 2500RPM.

After 2500 under hard acceleration it gets "raspy", mean, but raspy. I was attributing that to the fact it is a V6, maybe it's the "X" pipe?

You guys all have very sweet ponies!

I have been through a TON of exhaust setups because I absolutly hated the trumpeting. Soulution = PROCHAMBER! Right now I have the O/R Prochamber with SLP Bullit mufflers with are basically jsut nice resonators. NO Trumpeting at all. I'm actually going to unhook the resonators today to see how the prochamber sound with just straight pipe. I'm tellin you though, Prochamber all the way.

+1 for resonators

Made the difference for me. I liked the dB level however, I was not enthralled with the raspy sound. I welded on two Resonators and now I love it. I get tons of compliments too.

I went to one muffler shop and they were going to put on glass packs. Said they were the same thing. Any thoughts?

The guy who put mine on referred to them as glasspacks as well. I wasn't around when glasspacks were used, but after some looking, they look to be the exact same thing, just different terminology.

i had that trumpet sound too...it was annoying!

so what i did, i put BBK headers on and it went away...sounds like a true muscle car now....

Pypes O/R H pipe w/stock mufflers

Here are 2 clips of this setup. The first is me merging onto the interstate(inside car), the second is of me accelerating from a stop, turning around and driving back. If I hadn't spent the money already for the Flowmasters, I would keep this setup and put the money in other mods, but I get them put back on this week coming up. Then I will have to tape another outside clip to compare the two.

Not a problem. I figured it may help several people who are looking for more sound without any annoying drones or obnoxiously loud systems. I know one thing, it is not loud enough for me after having the Flows. I will get them back on next week.

Installed the Pypes OR H today. I must say it was the easiest and fastest exhaust work I have ever done! 30 minutes with a lift!!!

Anyway along with my stock modified mufflers ( http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=687070&highlight=surgery
it is loud! Very nice rumble. I am very pleased...I'm sure the neighbors won't be! LOL!

I'll try to get a video on this weekend for comparisons sake.

Wow... alright I'm new here... I have a 07 GT with like 300 miles on. I've been reading on this forum for the past week. There's a lot of great information on here which has been giving me a lot of ideas. The one think I've always loved about Mustangs is the way they sound. So I've been for the past week looking around and listening to like 30 different sound clips from Blora, Magnaflows, Flowmasters, and the ones on this site with something about "OR Pypes" Which I'm pretty new in the mustang world so I really don't know what OR means... I was thinking about taking the stang to this local muffler shop and just tell them I want 3" cat backs installed and weld some nice looking tips on them. I'm guessing this would sound pretty loud though... maybe to loud. I love how the Super 40's sound which I THINK they were the 40s on the flowmaster site. But I though it would be better if I could get a cat back exhaust instead of a Axeback for the power. I don't know... I also have all these mustang friends telling me to get something different. I'm looking for something DEEP and loud when I WOT it. What do you think?

"OR" or "O/R" stands for Off Road(no catylitic converters). If you want deep AND loud...Flowmaster axle backs with an O/R H pipe will get you there for sure!!!!!

I will post a clip as soon as I get one...maybe the next few days once I get the Flows back on.
