Quad shocks

quad shocks do i need them. I would like to go with a wider tire but they would rub on the shocks

i flipped mine over and it gave me more room before. i took them off all my cars to get a bigger tire on. i have a 93 with a 9 inch and no spot to put any. if all the contral arms are good u should be ok.

My car has 57k so one would think that they are OK. Do you think I should go with the 275/40/17 instead of the 245/40/17

I removed my quads and had massive wheel hop.Finally I installed tubular CHE control arms and that took care of the wheel hop.They are there for a reason.

I bought some bbk upper and lower control arms before I removed mine...I agree with vinnie they are there for a reason.

I run 275 40r17 in the rear with the quad shocks on

My quad shocks are long gone, & personally I have never experienced any wheel hop on either 1 of my cars? My Mach has built suspension of course, but my coupe is all stock with nothing but Bilsteins & sportlines. I will be installing MM XD LCA's soon though.
