Quadrant question

Are the fox and S/N adjustable clutch quadrants the same? I looked at mine and for some reason it is rubbing this black ruber looking thing under my dash, so i hope thats the problem? I was thinking i got sold the wrong one when i bought it? peace

The quadrants themselves are the same. The cables are pretty much interchangeable as well, though they differ several inches in length.

Man this is getting old! I dont think i got the wrong lenth cause it would be to long or short makeing it not able to fit? I cut the rubber stuff back and it didnt help any at all so this weekend i'll check into it better, unless any other ideas? peace

First off, what "rubber stuff" are we talking about? I have done a bunch of the quadrants and cant for the life of me think of a "rubber stuff" in the way.

I've done more quadrants than I care to remember as well. My best guess would be that he is talking about the black rubbery liner, which comprises a portion of the firewall insulation. It is slit vertically, near where the cable passes through the firewall. It probably got in his way.
