Quarter Mile Estimate?

If your starting at 13.5s, 12s shouldnt be hard with some GT40s, a cam and an intake. Might take some fine tuning to get it optimized but in the end high to mid 12s shouldnt be tough to accomplish!

DocG2828, Your combo is nothing like the OPs, which I assume you know that, and yours should run in the low 12s to 11s. Well at least that would be my goal for that set up!

Thanks man. Out of curiousity, what injectors are you running? Also I take you you must have a trick or two up your sleeves for trapping 110-111 with the stock cam? I'm just curous as to why you think my combo would be slower, give I had a valve job and milled them slightly. Sorry if I come off the wrong way, just curious.

Number 1 ours is in an 86 GT, weighing about 3100 lbs, which I assume to be lighter than yours. Ours also runs in the high 1.5x low 1.6x 60's which might be tougher to get on a newer body style. Lastly, if I say you will run 12.1s and yours goes 12.8s, your going to hate me, lol. I would say shoot for some upper 12s, and when you get there shoot for some mid 12s.

Our GT40P car runs stock injectors. As for tricks, other than all the bolt ons, and testing and testing for years there isnt much to it. No intake icing, no short belt, just a car we got for free, a motor we had, and a lot of track runs.

good call...I usually don't worry about et as drivers vary but more so questioning the mph. I was assuming this was you 89 with no updated signature...this is what happens when assumptions are made. LOL Thanks man. What is fuel pressure timing set at to give an idea?

And driving it like you stole it, which is what 99% of the people on here who are impressed with your times are failing to see. Not that i'm knocking you for it...if i ran mine on slicks and launched at 5500, i'm sure i'd be quicker. I'm just saying, you have the nerve to drive your car without fear of breaking something, which most people don't have and that's why they have a hard time believing your times.

We have a very similar set up here:

Stock bottom end
Stock cam
GT40Ps with a good valve job, milled slightly
Cobra intake

When it had 3.55s the car went 12.17 @ 110 on a pair of slicks. With 4.10s it has been 12.14 @ 111.

I would say for a DD and not having the head work, 12.50s shouldnt be hard!

Come on bro! What does the car weigh? And didn't you use the big valves?
