hey guys i was wondering if any of u have had a body shop put on a new quarter panel or just had the rusted part patched up. thanx...And how much did u pay

You can do either of them.
Depending on the location and amount of rust, it may be easier and more cost effective to replace the entire 1/4.
Ive repaced 1/4 panels before and Ive also patched. Most the time I try to patch unless its been hit, or rusted really bad.
