damn I need to do mine too, I hear those moldings stick out and start peeling off, so for me to clarify you pop or uncrew the plastic molding on the inside of the rear quarter window, then you unscrew the the nuts on the inside, then get the window off but separating the glue from the body. OK now do you need to put new adhesive back on the window after you paint it?
The interior panels need to be loose, but don't have to be completely removed. It is much easier if they are removed though. There is either 10 or 11 nuts on each window, can't remember where my extra set of 1/4 windows is hidden (if I find them I'll look). I normally have somebody heat the seal up from the outside with a heat gun, while I'm on the inside pushing (not hard) the window out. The heatgun needs to just be moved around the outside of the clear glass part of the window, that is where the seal is. I keep the heat gun moving so that one spot does not get real hot and crack. When inside pushing, it will feel like nothing is happening for a few minutes then it just starts to move once it gets warm enough. You don't have to worry about it falling out, the seal does not let go that fast.

It is less of a mess if you clean the old seal off the window completely, and you should definately clean it off the car. Then yes you do need to apply new seal before reinstalling them.

Justin, when you say ground effects brackets, what are you refering to?

I was going to mention the Steeda 1/4 window trim covers. Has anybody ever seen them? I would imagine there quality is pretty good, but have not seen them yet.
