i just found out my friend has an 87-89 mustang sitting in his garage that hasnt been touched in years, i was wondering if it was rare or not because ive never seen one like it, i only looked at it quick so im not sure what year for sure it is but i will fine out tomorrow, i didnt check if it was mass air or not but it had tilt wheel so it was either an 87,88,or 89. its a strawberry red lx, auto, with white leather interior and red carpet an dash, it has 34k original miles on it. i have never seen a mustang with this interior combo before. do you think it would be worth some good money?

My 86 has a tilt wheel as well. I'm sure you'd know if it were a 4 eye though.

I think an automatic and a carpeted dash might negate the mileage factor ...and if it's a hatchback that makes it even worse

I've seen that combo before -- only on verts though. There might not have been many made -- but red interior isn't very 'desirable' as far as colors go, nor do I think even if it was it would be worth more.

I'm sure it's a nice car, but don't buy it for an investment.

Yes I have to say I am suffering from the porno red interior. I dk what kind of drugs FORD was on then, but the red interior for those years is absolutely degrading. At least my dash/wheel etc. is black. Ive seen a few with the entire interior red and its got to be the ugliest interior ever. It wasnt only FORD though. One of my little brothers friends had an Iroc. White w/ porno red interior. Mustve been another one of those wierd 80's things.

ill have to agree with you on that, but the kid is gonna sell me it for 500 bucks just to get it out of his garage so ill make a nice profit off it.
