question about a chip

ive ordered a chip for the main purpose of my gears/adjusting my speedo and raise my shift points. i didn't want a dynotune, or go with a programmer just because im mostly stock right now. anyway, my question is, is it safe to have the chip increase the line pressure in my auto? i read in modular depot thread that it isnt safe to do this  also, this would eliminate the need for the jerry mod or shift kit am i right, a guy at work said i should still get one?

Increasing line pressure also increases heat which is the number one killer of an automatic tranny. That being said, there are thousands of cars on the streets with this so I wouldn't give it much thought. If it bothers you too much just invest in a good tranny cooler and be done with it.

Where did you read this exactly? That's not true, we have done hundreds of automatic tunes just this year and we have never had a problem with increasing the line pressure.
