So I am going to buy the programmable, 4-bank chip from AmericanMuscle.com. First off, I was wondering what four (4) custom tunes I should have programmed on it when I buy it. What do you guys think?

1994 Mustang Cobra - 102,000 miles. All stock except for Zex Nitrous kit.

1)Fuel Economy setting. I want this one, because my car gets about 15.5 mpg and I'd like to get something better.

For the other three tunes, I am really up in the air. I have a Zex nitrous kit (the old one--55, 65, 75 horsepower shots), so I would like to get a tune for that. They also offer an 87 octane tune and a 93-octane tune which I dont totally understand yet. Do I really want to waste 2 of them on these settings. I mean, I dont envision spending the extra cash for 93-octane other than just to try it out. I would get the 87-octane tune, but from what I read on the reviews on their site, its really not much of a difference. Also, I plan on removing my catalytic conv's. Would a tune for this help?

So I have 3 other custom tunes available. What would you guys do?

First thing I would do is figure out why you only get 15.5mpg on the stock engine.

My car with heads, intake, 24lb injectors, exhaust and gears gets up to 23mpg (normal driving averages 19mpg) with the stock tune.

Then figure out if you really need 4 different tunes for your stockish car.
I guess one of my tunes would lean to passing emissions since my area requires the tailpipe sniffer.

You will probably need to talk with a SCT representative to discuss your needs and wants to get the best out their product.

1 tune for 93 performance w/ the nitrous
1 tune for 89 economy

don't waste the time on getting the other two. wait till you get more mods done to the car. you can always send the chip back to them later and only pay for the shipping to it retuned.
