Is the 98 cobra wing different than a gt? If so is it an upgrade to change to the cobra wing or should I just get a S281 wing?

It looks similar but has different lines to it. IMHO better than the 281.

First things first....lets get the terminology right!!! No Cobra (or even factory Mustang) has ever worn a "wing". That’s a "ricer" term and a derogatory assault against Mustangs IMO. Properly accepted terms are rear spoiler, deck spoiler and even truck spoiler will be accepted.

I guess it depends on your outlook. Ever have anyone ask if your car is a 5.0L and when inform them that it’s a 4.6L, they look at you with disappointment and say "oh, its only a V6".Split hairs often?
....that ranks right up there with the same annoyance level for me.

From what I remember about my old 95 GT, 96 GT, & 97 Cobra, they all had the same wing,,,,,,ummm I mean SPOILER
. Only the 94-95 Cobras had a different spoiler that actually had the LED brake light & different lines than the regular V6/GT spoilers. Its not a bad looking spoiler, but the S281 is the best on SN95's IMO...

Don't wing it. The s281 rear spoiler looks alright. I had an s351 spoiler on my 98, looked OK but kinda on the rice side.
