I am going to be getting a set of coilovers for my car so during the winter I can raise it back up to stock height. I know Maximum Motorsports has a complete front and rear coilover set for like 1500.00, but then I noticed that Eibach has a set for like 1000.00. I know MM is like the best around, but I am just wondering how Eibach's would compare to MM's? Thanks alot.

Well everyone knows Eibach won't compare to MM's but overall it will be better than the stock spring/strut combo.

Just save up a little longer. The MM kit is worth it since it has no noise, and the quality is better. If you want to save money you can always go conventional spring in the rear (MM can recommend a spring rate for H&R springs depending on which rate you go with in front). Thats what I did, and the car responds with a good amount of neutrality.

So, you are saying that you don't have coilovers in the back, just in the front? I am wanting to be able to raise the car back to stock during the winter driving months. I don't know how that will ride if I leave the back lowered and just raise up the front. I am not worried about the money. I just was wondering how the Eibachs were since they are only 500 less than MM's. Thanks for the info.

Oh, another question. Wouldn't I have to go and get a new alignment everytime I raised and lowered it?

You should always get an alignment after touching your front suspension. You can always get MM adjustable LCA's from the rear or the ride height adjusters.

The back is lowered 1.25" with H&R Race and Super Race rear springs.. That should be a safe height for the back. The front would be fully adjustable and yes, you would have to get realigned every time you adjusted the height to avoid sloppy steering/uneven tirewear.

The MM stuff is worth it.

Clear dominance.

Don't make the mistake I did (bullitt kit).. Do it right the first time.

If I get adj. lca's, how do I adjust them? I can't just take the tire off and spin the spring perch can I? Or do I need to take the spring out too and then adjust it which makes it even harder to get the spring back in? I'm just worried about not having coilovers all around because it might ride differently. I have Tokicos and Eibach Sportlines on there now. If I ran coilovers in the front, then I would still have to at least run the same brand shock in back as the front? Along with the same brand springs?

If you put the car on ramps you may be able to adjust the perch. May be safer on a lift tho. You wouldn't need to take the spring out.

Having Coilover in the front and conventional spring in the back isn't a problem, as long as you match the spring rates correctly to achieve neutral handling characteristics. I've tried 3 different shocks (kyb, tokico, and bilstein), and bilstein is the best. Their dampening characteristics are superior to the the other two. you might as well sell your old stuff in a package on classifieds when you are ready to put the new kit on.

But on the other hand, you don't NEED to run the same brand front and rear.. but you are definately going to want new struts up front if you go to an MM coilover.
