Question about dial indicator

im about to purchase one w/ a magnetic base. i was wonder what is a good brand? i seen a summit dial indicator w/ the base go for 30. that any good? And i heard the proform kit sucks, any body know any good ones?

The best precision tools IMO are Mitutoyo. They are expensive as f-ck but you can't beat the japanese when it comes to technology.


Try E-bay, you might get lucky.

Mitutoyo are nice. With precision tools, 999 times out of 1000 you get what you pay for. Personally, everything I own is Mitutoyo or Starrett.
