Do different brands of X pipes give different exhaust sound? I once had a Bassani O/R X pipe and you could not make that thing sound good. Do all X pipes basically sound the same?

) and he had X pipe with flowmasters and it sounded like he had a H pipe. The car SOUNDED like a Mustang. Is it because I have 2 more valves and 2 more camshafts? My car doesn't sound like a true Mustang and when I put the Bassani X pipe on, my God that was the worst sounding combo I've ever heard.

nickthegenius said:I had a UPR X-pipe with my Magnaflow catback and it sounded great. When I went to long tubes, I swapped the Magnaflow mufflers out for Spintechs and added a Trubendz X-pipe. The Trubendz pipe is the biggest piece of crap I have ever bought, but it doesn't sound bad. Its just the fact that it appears that Ray Charles welded it shortly before his death. Therefore, it didn't meet up to the long tubes or the catback correctly and had to be cut up and re-bent by a local shop.
