I'm thinking of getting the new ipod nano 8g since its so thin and small now. But have a couple questions.

1. Do I have to use Itunes or can i use the mp3's i already have?
2. As far as playlists, software, etc is it easy/convenient to use?

Thanks
Josh

I just became an ipod user after I got one for christmas. I got an 80g classic. As far as itunes go. Its actually pretty good. I used to use only WMP 11 since I just really enjoyed the interface. But Itunes isn't better or worse just different. It is easy to sync to the Ipod. And as far as I know, itunes is the only official way to use the Ipod. Its easy to use. Just tell what folders you want it to look for music and it will search and convert if needed any music in WMA format to the playable on ipod format. When you sign up for an itunes account, it will add alblum art to your music and correct any missing info. Its actually really good software and I use it everyday.

I have the 4G Nano and it's really easy to use. I do use the ITunes, but you're able to easily transfer your previous MP3's over to the ITunes propt to load them up. Very neat little gadget. Even able to copy the album cover and other info about the artist/album into the unit as well. :nice:

I just got an 8gig nano and yes it is very easy. The I tunes software is simple and as everyone has stated, it will work for your existing MP3's. My only problem now is storage space on my harddrive. Time to upgrade computers!
