Hi my Stang I bought came supercharged with lower compression then Naturally Aspirated. So I assume it can take more timing but at 1500 rpm 40 deg is too much right? 2000 rpm it’s about the same, and 2500 rpm also.

Seems like a lot - double it would normally have maybe? Who tuned it and when? Same combo still as it was tuned with?

Double it would normally have? I don’t know what you mean. Either the previous owner did or shop did. Parts combo? Yes

I'm no tuner.

But - 18-22+ seems like a normal number for a blower car - low compression or not. 40 seems way high.
That is all if we are talking WOT inputs.

Part throttle is another game, and it wouldn't be crazy to see maybe 30ish, but I would think 40 at part throttle at low rpms would be a detonation risk.

Again -I'm no tuner....

At WOT I get 14 deg.

My Earlier post was in regards to part throttle.

And you are correct I think I was getting slight detonation when I was at 60% to %70
Throttle at low rpm around 2500 rpm.

I changed my T stat to 160 deg and I think it seemed to help.

I was thinking it’s tinned like that because as you hit boost there would be high piston temp fluctuations and maybe that’s not good. I’m assuming I’m not a racing jenious.

Or maybe they turned for running 93 octane and a octane booster.

So how to I take out some timing out?

I have a Diablo adapter thingy but I think I need some type of hand held device.

I will post pics later of the running adapter that came with the car. Thanks for replying to my post.

If you don't have the tuning capabilities you'll need to find someone who can reflash the chip or tuner (not sure which you have). I don't know much about diablo but assume there is a self-service type of program you can buy a license too.

Your WOT seems low lol vs the part throttle being so high. Weird.

Yes wot is low because the blower boost kicks in at 3 k rpm. It sees 5 psi at 14 deg.

Correct tunning. I noticed it runs alit better with octane booster. Almost makes me think that car is turned for higher octane gas.
