Def go duals if you have the money for it. I went with Pypes True dual X to Street pro mufflers. Im very happy with them, but before i went dual I did have the Flowmaster American Thunder single exhaust. It was ok but sounded really ricey, and cost about $200. So for the price I'd def go duals. Pypes make a few different setups for our cars, they start around $300 and f you do go dual make sure its TRUE dual (x or h pipe) not one that flows through your existing Y pipe.
Hope that helps a little

Yea thats just hardware. The install can be anywhere from $200-$400. But if you know someone thats handy with a saw, wrench and has a lift you can save yourself some money.

for a good sound that isn't real drone-prone, and the V6's do get a bad drone if you don't use a chambered muffler, get the Pypes true dual conversion that comes with 2 GT take off mufflers. The Gt manual take-offs are a little better sounding and a little louder than the GT automatic mufflers. The kit is $300 and up to about $80 or so delvd depending on where you live. The kit is $300 with and without the GT take offs, so you're better off to take the free GT take offs and see if you like them. Once you have the dual kit on there's a bunch of different axle back mufflers you can listen to and see what you like.

It's a pretty easy remove and replace procedure. Pypes website has the template to cut the drivers side of the bumper which you'll need for true duals.

If you're not going to go true duals I would suggest the Flowmaster american thunder for the V6. You won't like it, a single GT take-off is a better choice for good sound and no drone.
