I am going to install a performance stall convertor on my automatic,
and I need some advice on what manufacturer and stall speed I
should get. Also, price wise what do they run and can I install it
myself. Any info would be great.

PI Stallion converter

3200 stall speed

$689 from Houston Performance

Install it yourself if you're mechanically inclined.

Don't forget the trans cooler, because you'll be pumping the heat into the trans.

For a n/a application, anything less than a 2800 rpm stall would be a waste. What the guys above said has you covered. Best place to buy is from www.houstonperformance.com Mine was shipped to the door for 714 dollars. I didnt do the install. Mine was installed by Ford under warranty for my transmission blew out and was being fixed. Dont forget the transmission cooler. Its a must for performance auto's. Ide also recommend looking into a shift kit if you dont already have one.
