Question about stripped header bolt?

I have a stripped header thread while installing my long tubes headers and wanted to know if this will definately cause a leak or will tread tape work for this and help prevent a leak. Guess I overtightened one of the bolts and it just kept turning. Or is there another way to fix this. Thanks in advance.

I'd helacoil the problem area, were I you. You'll have no leaks or worries after that.
