Do I need a different harness, or is it just a simple swap of the taillight housings? Thanks!

Anyone? It's a bit urgent, and I'm sure someone knows the answer to this.

WTF, there is tons of splicing involved. That looks too complicated for a simple taillight swap. Can I just swap harnesses to avoid all the splicing?

I'm going to guess that you didn't actually read the thing to see why the splicing was done?

Just changing the tailight housings is very easy and shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Remove the trunk liner behind the tailights
You'll see the suds from the housings with nuts on them.
Remover those
Pull the housing away from the body
Disconnect the wiring from the housing just as if you were going to change the bulb.

Now, grab the Cobra housing and reverse everything above.

DONE.

Ah, I see now. He just spliced it differently to mess with the blinkers and brakes and whatnot.

Or you could just stop acting like an ass. It's no wonder that the majority of people here dislike you.

Who, me or Handz? I'm always a nice guy to everyone on here, but I noticed that he's a dick to the majority of the users, and I don't appreciate that. Yeah, I coulda googled my issue for a solution, but I wanted some replies from people so I can hear their personal, first-hand experiences with the swap. All he had to do was link me to that site as a suggestion, but instead he left sarcastic remarks and told me I looked like a retard.

Which unfortunately isn't very correct, at least it wasn't for my 03 GT. Unfortunately I didn't do the install as I'm deathly afraid of electricity and wires so I have no advice or workarounds for the op. I do know that the lights don't come with anything any more, and that link refers to a kit that came with different wires and a flasher.

The install IIRC is NOT a direct pnp.

Everyone stop acting like children, or recess is over for you all.

It's not plug and play at all.

For some reason my 3rd brake light was tapped into the harness for the cobra lights... I can't figure out why.

If you want and if I remember I will take pics of the harnesses as they are right now, but it could be confusing as we have completely farmer rigged my lights to pass UK lighting inspection... (My 3rd Brake Light is now a rear fog light that comes on with the front fogs) But that should be the only difference in the trunk.
