If your referring to the next radical body change, as in the next major platform/design change. I was recently informed through a very reliable source. The next platform change won't take place, until the 2014.5/2015 model year, around April 17th 2014. Which will also mark the Mustang's 50th anniversary.

On the other hand, if your referring to the S-197 re-fresh. It's already been confirmed. It will go into production during the 2010 model year, as either a 2009.5 model, or as a 2010. Marking the Mustang's 45th anniversary.

I just hope they don't stray too far away from what a Mustang should look like. The cars kind of lost their way with the 94 and 99.
A great example of how not to do that is the Jeep Wrangler and Porsche 911.

Agreed Gusin, which makes me worry. With talk of the entire body, save the canopy?, getting an overhaul, and rumor of the new body style taking cures from the Giugiaro...I'm worried. I'm Italian, and that car looks awful; the front just reminds me of the American Godzilla, don't ask me why.

Looks futuristic, doesn't look muscle car.

Time...will tell.

If I remember, the 94 was car of the year and also paced Indy. I had one. It was a great car. I don't remember anyone being overly critical of it. Also, what's wrong with the 99 model?

I'd have to say our 4.6 is already quite small for a V8, I mean look at the engines from Chrysler and GM.
I think the price of gas will go down when that Green River project really starts producing. We have more oil than the entire middle east right under Utah and Colorado...

Sell a v-8 car but have a switch on it so it flips to only 4 cylinders... Say it gets 35 mpg when your on 4 cylinders.... Can you say loophole....Doesnt' the charger have something like that where it turns off half its cylinders when your cruising?

Well I hope we charge $12.00 a gallon to foreign countries considering what they are doing to us right now! All I have to say is watch Maxed Out and Who killed the electric car to gain an insight to the under workings of our economy, political agenda, and oil controlling the U.S.

Yeah, they have a cylinder deactivation system, but thats just something else to make an engine more complicated for something to go wrong. The 2010 is to have a dohc 5.0 making 425 hp and 400 ft pounds, but I've heard nothing about it having cylinder deactivation. They did say it should get 30 mpg with direct injection and cvt.

You talk about looks, and forgot the 79-93. The one Mustang that had nothing at all that made me think it might be a Mustang. A 2-door Fairmont does not look like a Mustang should. It was the plainest Mustang ever made.
