Question about the underside paint? From the factory?

I'm trying to research some info on how much paint was applied, if any, to the bottom of a typical Fox Mustang when they were built in the factory. Were they sprayed the same color as the body or did they just get some over spray like cars generally got back in the day?

I know my car has a black coating underneath of some sort, can't be rust proofing though, b/c it has never seen snow. I have to say, I have the cleanest under side I've seen to date, except the show cars and crap, but for a DD...

My old white 93 Gt was not undercoated and was completeley white on the bottom. The coupe I have now is undercoated, but i can tells that its all body color under the undercoating also.

My white 91 LX was white underneath and my blue 93 GT was blue underneath. From others posts it looks like they could have been either way.

My Stang is Titanium Frost, the underside is Silver, but just a Dull Silver Color.
