I have 95 mustang with the power dyne and I found one end of the surge valve not connected. The bottom part connects to the cat and where does the left hose of the valve connect to? Does it connect to the bottom part of the egr valve?

On the valve there is a nipple, should there be a vacuum line connected on top of it? I found a vacuum line that is not connected and wondering if there should be a line on top of the valve?

There is another valve to the right that connects to the smog pump, is that another surge valve?

On the intake tube there is another valve that looks like a surge valve, so I have a total of 3 surge valve, what is the purpose of having all 3 of these valves?

First picture is of a diverter valve. They are not called surge valves. The top hose on the first picture, left side of the hose is supposed to attach to a thermactor valve that then goes to the back of both cylinder heads. The vacuum line in picture 2 goes to the top of the diverter valve in picture 1. The diverter valve in picture 4 and 5 will direct the air from the smog pump to either the cat converter or to the diverter valve that will route the air to the rear of the cylinder heads where it then goes thru a passage in the heads and the air enters the exhaust port. The final picture shows a bypass valve that is used on centrifugal supercharger air inlet piping. The diverter valve in picture 1 also will divert (thus the name diverter) air to either the cylinder heads or to the cats by the vacuum being either applied or released from the valve.

So the thermactor valve should be close by that hose or the cylinder heads? I looked around and I don't see another valve. Does the thermactor valve look just like the other valves?

I looked at the back of the heads and I don't see any airtubes. It this air tube noticeable? How big is it? Does this hose need to be connected to the airtube?
