Question about toe boards/floors

I have cancer on the bottom of the toe boards on my 65 fastback. I was wondering, judging by these pictures if i can get away with replacing just the toe board or will i need the floor section as well.

I'm not an expert, but it looks like it needs floor pans to me.

I am with tx65coupe on this, mine are about that bad on my 66 and worse on my 65 and both are gettin at the very least pans to the seat box... better to be safe than sorry when it comes to that stuff!

It's hard to tell in the photos whats crud and what's rust. I have seen floors that look like that, and only needed small sections. I certainly wouldn't replace the whole toe board, it's the floor I'm not sure about.

You can probably get by with patching the toe, but, as others have said, the floor pans look questionable. A set of pans is under $100 and not difficult if you own a MIG or know anyone that does. Add another $75 if you can't salvage the seat bases. You may be able to rivet patches on the toe but pans and seat bases must be welded.

I would tend to agree about the toe board and just patch it.

That looks almost as good as my 67 XR7 does! I think I will be able to get by with the front floor panel patch that has the toe board too.....
