me and my dad have came to an agreement....

we are going to buy a v6 mustang ...1994-1998... and swap out the motor with a 347 stroker, now will the v6 tranny bolt up correctly or what has to be done?

I don't know the differences w/ the transmission. But it's a T-5, so power won't matter much.

But your rear end sucks, and should be swapped ASAP. I hear way too many stories of 7.5's blowing (early fox-bodies 5.0L's had them)

And you will need a new computer.

Do a search on this thread & you should find some good threads on the subject.

Allright, I did some digging just to refresh myself on the info. The AODE will swap but the T5's will not. The V6 T5 will swap with a V8 bellhousing BUT will wear out quicker than normal due to a smaller input shaft compared to the V8 tranny.

Regardless, if you're going with a 347, even a V8 T5 will be a liability. Don't waste time with the V6 tranny and do it right the first time.

There's some good info on the swap here:
