I just bought another 5.0 notch today. Its black, 5sp, and has 100kmiles on it. It had a slew of mods on it including Under Drive Pulleys. I have never had them on a car before and wanted to know if its normal for my "AMP" light in the center of the console to constantly be on. Is it doing this b.c the pulleys are slowing the alternator down so much or what? Any help would be appreciated! Also, how much horsepower is my stang gaining by having them, and is it worth it to leave them on? Or should i get rid of them?

If there is no problem with the alternator itself, then thr pullies are the most likely culprit. The factory Fox3 alternators arent that powerful and only put out about 80A at peak rpm and spinning them slower makes it worse.

First, I would pull off the underdrive pulleys. IMO, they are total crap and don't give enough power to be worth it. If the AMP light still comes on after you make a pulley swap then look to the alternator/voltage regulator/battery.
