Ok so my fuel pump is going out. Right now I still have the stock unit. I plan to upgrade to a 190 or 255 LPH.
So my question is just cause I have a higher volume pump does that mean that my gas mileage will suffer? Or will I just have more volume avalible when I need it. Because I still have the stock 19 pound injectors. So in theroy the mileage should stay the same unless I get larger injectors right? And the extra volume will only be used unless I get 24 or 30 pound injectors. Is this right or not?
Sorry to rehash things but just getting the bigger pump shoudnt lower mileage unless I get bigger injectors to go along with it or modify my computer to give out more fuel. It will just give me a larger capacity and avalibility when needed or so I hope so?
So I'm looking for some expert advise. Also I will be getting the Ford racing roots super charger kit very soon. Will the 190 be enough or will I need the 255. I'm going to keep the supercharger with the stock pully so boost will only be around 5 to 6 PSI. Then I will get 42 pound injectors and lightning MAF and watch my mileage plumet down.
By the way does any one run this set up? Basic bolt on moded 96 through 98 with the Ford Racing roots blower? How is the power and also how is mileage is high 12's possible with a full weight convertible?
Sorry for the long post but I figured I'd ask all the questions in one single post and yall' are pretty good about giving reliable info:SNSign: and wanted to know before I pull the trigger on the new transactions.
Thanks fellow stangers, Clint
