I am having the bung welded in tomrmow morning for the innovative kit (which i can get for everyone much cheaper than summmit) so that i can install it and get some tuning work done. anyway, i was going to have it mounted on the end of the header, but there is almost no space to have it done. Would it be a problem to mount it on the X pipe right after the header collector? i figure that 6" isnt going to be a problem, but are there any cons to doing this?

You can mount it anywhere you like so long as it's BEFORE any catalytic converter(s) you might have Nate.

The LM-1 heats it's own element at startup so it's not crucial that it's near the heads.

Edit: keeping it as close to the heat as possible does however, tend to keep the sensors healthier for longer. Just don't mount it at the 6 oclock postion.
