Howdy,
I'm in the midst of putting a Weiand Xcelerator and DP Holley onto my 1986 5.0.
I don't have the money to fix my fuel injection related issues and had these two items sitting around from an old combo that was going on. And I NEED a car. My question is this, the emissions pipe on the back of the heads near the bellhousing, the one that connects the two heads and then goes to the diverter valve/airpump. I've noticed a lot of people with carb'd cars don't have that there anymore, but are using either the 86 heads or e7s. What do you do with the emissions port thats left in back when you remove the pipe? Just leave it chillin there open? Right now mine is clogged with carbon from over 210,000 miles so eh.. yeah I doubt its doing its job anyway. But I just wanted to know.
Regards,
Gered
