Hello, im currently in the market for a new car, and the 64/65 mustangs are one of my favorites. I was wondering if all of you who own this year model could help me with somethings. Im nearly 7 ft tall, and i was wondering if i could fit into the ford mustang. If someone could give me an idea about the fit of a mustang i would really appreciate it. Thanks.

from a guy who is 5'7", it would be tight....there are some mods you can do to get more headroom and legroom. The best one might be the "Bubba Smith mod" as seen in Police Academy.

I'm 6'2" and 200, and my 67 is just fine. Maybe if you got aftermarket seats which recline a little, you might squeeze a few inches of head/leg/arm room in that way.

My dad is 6'10''. He drove my mustang when he was in college many years ago. He still fits fine, although he has some problems getting in and out (his legs are not what they used to be). Once he is in, he is ok. It is tight, but he does it ok. The lack of a giant center console like modern day cars gives him room to bend his knees in the car.

Well I'm 6'3" and drive a '66 daily. It's not all bad. Its uncomfortable if i lean the seat back and such but if I set upright which I do anyways its comfy with plenty of room. You can relocate the seat pans too.

You may want to consider an automatic. Working the clutch around the stock steering wheels with legs 4-6" longer than mine (I'm 6' 3") may be a problem. I 2nd the link above to Mustangs Plus.

move ther seat pans im 6'4" and in the soct location its kinda tight but i like my leggs bent almost half way but my dad moved his and u cant even tell till u get in and ur leggs are out straight which i find uncomfortable

I am 6'6" and with saggy seat foam there is no problem.

I swapped in late model seats and being able to recline them made a big difference.

What are the dimensions of a 71-73 fuel tank?

Can't get to measure mine right now...any idea as to the dimensions of it?
