question for sn65 about fender flares

just curious if you got these from somewhere, or if you made them?

I LOVE how they look on the car, and want to do the same to my 66.

and the sexy final product shot

Wondering how difficult they were to install, and also curious what size tire you are running.

also, can't even begin to tell you how pissed I am that I missed/didn't see the car at autorama in Detroit earlier this year.

thats exactly what I want as well! I had flares on my 66 when I bought it but they were horrible once i took the paint off. They had cut slots along the stock flare, bent it off, brazed it to a rod that went along the rim of the flare, and then bondo'd over the slotted flare about 1/2" thick it worked ok except it became slightly waved and also bad rust formed under the bondo

If I remember correctly,

They made the front valance and flairs were cut off the Cobra.

edit, moddified the valance, not "made".

Hi All,

We modified the valance in our shop.

Also, we did use FRP flaires, but they, and the mounting surfaces were modified quite a bit. We started with a set of "Eleanor" flairs.

But, as I said, they were modified quite a bit. They do not match the fender and quarter contours, etc...

I am thinking about making a mold of the fenders and valance and making them available. Preliminary pricing places the flares at about $250 to $300 each. And the valance is looking at right about $300. We are also looking at molding the hood and that should be right about $650.

Does that sound about right??? Do you think there would be any interest at those prices?

Id be all over a valance like that! I like the Shelby R look but I need a license plate somewhere. Your valance would let me do that and look good at the same time!

Is that 250-300 for a front set and then 250-300 for a rear set or 250-300 x 4?

I like them a lot but 250-300 x 4 is a little steep IMO. No disrespect.

Outstanding! I'm sure you've got plenty of fab guys but I've got a buddy that does carbon fiber if you need anything.

with those fender flares what tire size did that allow you to run? I want to try and get the same stance for my 66.
