when a maf goes bad, does it usually make the car run lean or rich? mine's is gone but i dont have the funds for a new one just yet, but i dont want to lean it out or kill myself with co gasses..

fyi it seems to run better with the vacuum line off the reg..

thanks, will be going to a L maf and tuner hopefully soon, to get rid of all this bs crap..

Have you thought about getting a cheap replacement for the time?

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

You can find used parts near you. It's like the ebay of used car parts, linking all the salvage yards together.

Did the car throw a code and do u have the capabilites to read the MAF voltage? If its not functioning the car will run off the stock fuel and computer maps on the computer so i personally would not get on it at all or motor can go boom boom. I cold be multiple things though. whats is actually going on with the car?

bucking kicking, whatever, stalling no power, then lots of power, but at 100% tps it always runs out fast lol.. but its throwing a code for maf out of signal range or something, most of the time it runs better with it unplugged..

Have you tried hitting it with MAF cleaner? Cleaning the pin connections, etc? If so, then it may be time for that Lightning MAF + tuner. I also hear the SCT MAF's are nice.
