question for you guys

ok, I was bored so I measured the journals on my cam after I took it out the engine. I noticed that going from the first journal to the last journal on the cam...that they kept kitting smaller and smaller.

like, the first journal was (not real numbers):

1.7"

then: 1.63"

then the third was: 1.57

Are cams supposed to have the same journal diameter or is this just in the design?

haha, thank you. I guess it's so the cam can slide into the block easier?

oh well, I kinda thought it was normal...cuz I'd think I'd have some pretty serious bearing wear if it wore the journal down that much haha. Not to mention it went in order from front to back.
